Joseph P. Sergio, Ph.D.
Partner and C.O.O, Polar Clean, LLC
Joe Sergio has served as the C.O.O. of Polar Clean, LLC since its split from The Sergio Corporation in 2011. He holds a B.A., M.A., and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior Management from the University of Notre Dame.
Dr. Sergio is a Certified Instructor with the Institute of Engineered Cleaning Solutions (IECS). He is an SQF Practitioner and is HACCP Certified. He is the author of numerous articles in professional publications. He is a safety expert, with TWIC security credentials, as well as, OSHA 10-Hour, OSHA Respirator, Lockout/ Tagout, Aerial Lift Platforms, and Confined Space training. He is trained in Mold Remediation and Oil Spill Clean Up. He has also completed Incident Command training from FEMA and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Theresa Sergio, RN
Partner, President & CEO
Terri Sergio began training for her impressive medical career in Neonatal Intensive Care soon after graduating Summa Cum Laude. She completed her medical training from the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, was licensed as a Registered Nurse and certified in Neonatal Intensive Care in 1977. Over the next seven years she served as a NICU (Newborn Intensive Care Unit) staff nurse for four hospitals in two states. She also served as a Labor & Delivery staff nurse, a transport nurse and as a night shift charge nurse.
In 1984, she became a NICU staff nurse, transport nurse and night charge nurse for Memorial Hospital where she served for the next 25 years caring for more than a thousand premature babies in critical condition. During those years she also joined her husband Dr. Joseph Sergio in his successful disaster restoration business helping to design and launch the Contents Restoration Division, which eventually grew into its’ own regional processing facility.
As her interests grew in the family owned business, so did her professional expertise as she completed training in Structural Drying and Biohazard Remediation. She then help found and lead Polar Clean LLC and Polar Clean America, LLC as a Partner & the President and CEO. Her technical training, HACCP Certification, SQF Practitioner Certification and expertise in the medical and restoration fields have served her well in guiding use of the cutting-edge technology based techniques used by her companies to serve the sanitization needs of the petrochemical, power-generation, food manufacturing and processing industries, as well as many other specialized industries.
In addition to all of this, she and her husband have raised four children and served as foster parents. She is a member of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce. She is a past member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses, and has served as an American Red Cross volunteer. She has been active in her church, has served as the Coordinator of the food pantry and on the church Pastoral Council, as well as on many other community organizations.

Director of Operations
Sean designs and manages Field Operations to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality services while meeting client time requirements. He is responsible for maintaining cost controls and plant/vehicle/supply maintenance; ensuring delivery of regulatory compliance programs and trainings, and assists in sales and marketing efforts, including tradeshows.
Sean has served as a Fire Fighter and advanced EMT, with duties including Customer Service, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Suppression, and Rescue. He has been a lead Water Restoration Technician. He holds a variety of OSHA safety certifications and has a TWIC security clearance.
Nathan holds a B.A. in Economics, with a minor in Computer Applications, from the University of Notre Dame. His breadth of oversight involves the overall coordination of operations, including client communications, department coordination with sales to ensure accurate operations orders, development of job-specific risk management plans, logistical support of the tactical field crews, efficient execution of the job scope, and briefing and debriefing of crews.
Nathan also utilizes his experience in Estimating, Information Technology, Intelligence Analysis, and Direct Sales. He holds a variety of OSHA safety certifications, and has a TWIC security clearance.
Jeffrey comes to Polar Clean with over 30 years’ experience in management, construction and franchising. His broad knowledge base allows him the proficiency in performing his day-to-day activities. His attention to detail and organizational skills makes Jeffrey a great fit to the Polar Clean team. Jeffrey is responsible to work closely with ownership to coordinate efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field and technical services policies and practices. Along with the above duties Jeffrey works to increase management’s effectiveness by communicating values, strategies and objectives; assigning accountabilities, planning, monitoring and appraising job results. Jeffrey is Lead and OSHA 10 certified and holds a TWIC security clearance.
Meghan graduated Suma Cum Laude with a B.S. in Business Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University. She has a background in Sales, while providing outstanding client service. Her organizational skills and attention to detail helps her to support the day-to-day operations of Polar Clean, developing and sustaining contingency plans for all logistics related needs of the tactical crews. In addition, she is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors, clients and fellow employees. Outside of work, Meghan and her husband are actively involved in volunteering within their community.
